New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday drew attention to a detailed write‑up by union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, stressing that “Nari Shakti is at the heart of India’s future” as the country enters the Amrit Kaal — the “golden era” leading up to India’s centenary in 2047.
In a post by the Prime Minister’s Office on handle X, PM Modi said: “Nari Shakti is at the heart of India’s future. As Bharat enters Amrit Kaal, the term is no longer just a slogan; it is a national mission… A very prudent introspection by union Minister Smt @Annapurna4BJP. Do read!”
The write‑up highlighted by PM Modi outlines concrete measures under Mission Shakti — from One‑Stop Centres and fast‑track courts to helplines and social‑security hubs — that the government says are “ensuring dignity and opportunity for women.”
Mission Shakti, launched in 2015, comprises two pillars — “Sambal” (protection & safety) and “Samarthya” (empowerment & livelihood).
Key components include 864 One‑Stop Centres aiding over 12.67 lakh women, 745 Fast‑Track Special Courts (including 404 exclusive POCSO courts) disposing of more than 3 lakh cases.
Women Helpline (181) is active in 35 states/UTs, assisting over 93 lakh women.
Social‑security schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Sakhi Niwas hostels.
Union Minister Annapurna Devi remarked that “women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment are the government’s top priorities,” detailing progress under Mission Shakti’s various components.
By spotlighting the minister’s article, PM Modi underscored the government’s commitment to institutionalising women’s empowerment as a “national mission” during India’s journey toward its 2047 development goals. UNI SKA SAS SSP
